About Us.
LFW Podiatry began in 2011 by Lynda Forbes-Wake and has grown from a home visiting service to an award winning, purpose designed clinic in both Ilkley and Burley in Wharfedale.
Lynda works alongside Associate Podiatrists Helen Holmes, Jenny White, Ateeka Shabir and Vicky Egan, all having graduated between 2011 and 2021 from The University of Huddersfield and The University of Salford with BSc (Hons) degrees in Podiatric Medicine.
We are registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as being full members of the Royal College of Podiatry, formerly known as the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (MCPoD). We are licensed to administer local anaesthetics. Being members of the HCPC means we follow a strict code of conduct and update our skills via CPD (continuous professional development) on a regular basis.
Other advantages are, if you are registered with insurers such as Sovereign Health and Simply Health, you can often claim back a percentage of your treatment. We are also registered with WPA and Vitality Health.
